Tuesday, June 5: Parish General Assembly at 7:00 p.m.
The annual parish general assembly gives all parishioners an opportunity to find out about the life of our parish – pastoral issues, the upkeep of the church building, and the financial health of the parish. It also gives parishioners an opportunity to raise issues that need attention:
- How are we doing with the four poles of parish life: liturgy, faith formation, fellowship, service/outreach?
- What needs improvement? What needs to be clarified?
- And how are we doing in the financial and administrative aspects of our parish?
We will also use this meeting to show our appreciation for the many parishioners who make the four poles of parish life work. All parishioners are encouraged to attend.
Sunday, June 10: Our Annual Outdoor Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Once a year we try to bring the parish together in One Mass on a Sunday. This year it happens to be on the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. The Eucharist is the sacrament of unity, so coming together at one Mass is a very appropriate way of marking what makes us be Christ’s Church.
We will also recognize the parishioners who have been baptized, confirmed and have made their First Communion this past year. Part of these sacraments of initiation is that their sacramental union with Christ Jesus makes them also members of Christ’s Body, the Church. It is something that we give visibility to in coming together on Sunday as the Day of the Lord.
The Outdoor Mass will be followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring your favourite meal or dessert and stay to enjoy the fellowship!
Also, please note that there will be no Mass at 9:00 and 11:00 on that day.
