Workshop on leading adult groups on March 1 – all are welcome!

To help parishioners develop the needed identity, vision and skills, St. Mark’s is hosting a second half-day workshop on March 1st from 9:30 to Noon (it is NOT necessary to have participated in the first session on February 1 to attend) on Empowering Mature Christian Disciples: Facilitating Adult Groups, with Carol Kuzmochka from St. Paul University. Held in the basement of St. Mark’s church, this workshop will review a vision, a model and a formula for facilitating adult groups, and will look at some principles and guidelines. Finally, there will be an opportunity to brainstorm solutions to difficult situations we may find ourselves in when we are leading adult groups – bring your challenging experiences for some help! This workshop is relevant for all parishioners and will provide particular help for anyone in a leadership role in the parish (Parish Council or Wardens) or involved in one of the sacramental preparation programs or who would like to lead activities for other adults in the parish. The workshops are free and are open to all parishioners, so we especially welcome those who are not yet involved, but who may want to reflect on their leadership role for the future.  We hope you will be able to join us!
