CATHOLIC WOMEN’S GUILD (CWG) GARAGE SALE

Planning is underway for our garage sale fundraiser, which will be held on Saturday, June 6th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (indoor/outdoor – rain or shine).

To ensure its success, we welcome donations of household items, toys, books, games, jewellery, sporting goods, electronics, tools, crafts, plants, etc. If you enjoy baking, we will have a “baked goods” table, which is always a hit. Please indicate if it contains nuts or if gluten free; we also ask that it be in quantities & packaging that are ready to sell. Please, no clothes (including shoes and boots).

This fundraiser has always been a resounding success thanks to the generosity and participation of St. Mark’s parishioners. The Catholic Women’s Guild is very grateful for your support.

Please drop off your donations in the parish hall on the following days:

  • Wednesday, June 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 4th, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, June 5th, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

70 Years and Growing : Naming the Present, Discerning the Future

 

Following the parish gathering on April 9, there is deep gratitude for the continued participation, thoughtful discernment, and growing sense of shared responsibility within our community.

Several shared priorities came into focus, along with concrete next steps. In the months ahead, we will move toward action and bring to life the proposed steps in faith formation, community life and youth engagement, and hospitality.

The need to develop a coordinating role emerged as an immediate next step. In the coming month, the parish will focus on exploring what this could look like.

This focus does not diminish the importance of other priorities. Rather, it reflects a key step identified during the gathering, one that can help strengthen and connect many aspects of parish life.

Thank you for the openness, participation, and commitment that continue to shape this shared path forward.

2026 St-Vincent de Paul Golf Tournament  &  Fundraising dinner

 
Event Timing: August 22th, 2026,
Shotgun start at Noon 
Event Address: Gatineau Golf club, 160 rue du Golf, Gatineau, Qc
Dinner will start at 5:30pm
 

Same as last year:

  • $150 for golf, cart, dinner, prizes.

New this year:

  • Get a chance to win $5,000 at the hole-in-one;
  • Great prizes await the best team, the “most hard working” team, closest to the pin (M & W) and the longest drive (M & W);
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top three scores at the putting contest;
  • Surprises and “refreshments” await you along the course.

Looking back… 

Saturday June 7, 2025 :  St. Mark’s hosted an international pot luck Shared supper with cultural dances, music and appetizing food for all to share.

Sunday June 8, 2025: another day of celebration. Archbishop Durocher presided at our Anniversary Mass at 11 am and celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Following the mass, we had a luncheon in the hall.

As part of this celebration a framed map of the world is hanging in the church hall for parishioners to highlight their country of origin.

To mark this historic year, a souvenir calendar providing information from past and current events. Everyone was invited to be a part of this by providing photos and highlights of their time at St. Mark’s Parish.
