Through our fellowship, where we are called to share our lives in Jesus with each other – connected by our very baptism – we support each other, growing more and more alive in the process.
Catholic Women’s Guild
Among other things, the members of the Catholic Women’s Guild engage in fundraising activities, in hosting the hunger lunch on Good Friday and our annual parish supper in April, in providing refreshments at parish meetings, and in delivering flowers to home-bound parishioners at Christmas and Easter. A group meets every week in the parish basement to work on a variety of crafts. (Catholic Women’s Guild contact: Brenda McGuire)
Pastoral Care for the Sick
We try to keep in touch with parishioners who find themselves disconnected from the ongoing activities of the parish because of illness or advanced age. We are looking for volunteers to help out in this area, by visiting, telephoning, and bringing communion to those who cannot be with us on Sundays. (Pastoral Care for the Sick contact: Parish Office)
On the first and third Sundays of the month, our fellowship around the Eucharistic table is extended as everyone is invited to the basement to share in refreshments. This gives us the chance to catch up with each other and to get to know new people in the parish. Parishioners in this ministry set up for this time of fellowship, serve the refreshments, and clean up.(Coffee Sunday contact: Shirley Frenette)
